Instructor Biographies at the time of his course recording (2024):

Stacey Bryden, M.S., CCC-SLP owns Chatter House Therapies, a private speech-language pathology practice in Los Angeles, California. Her areas of specialty include speech sound disorders, autism, trauma-informed practice, and early intervention. Stacey brings over two decades of experience as an SLP and has worked with and supervised speech-language pathology assistants for over ten years. She is also a frequent guest speaker, presenting on professional topics since 2015. Stacey has worked as a part-time lecturer at California State University, East Bay. Passionate about fostering learning and community, she has founded online support spaces for families and professionals since 2020. Her overarching goal is to empower caregivers and clinicians through education, connection, and improved accessibility. In 2023, Stacey piloted this course for SLPAs, focused on education, reflection, and connection.

Deanne Wayt, MA, CCC-SLP is a full-time lecturer and clinic director in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at California State University, Long Beach. She has worked in Washington DC, Montana, Colorado, California, and Santiago, Chile across a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, and private clinics. She has also owned an early-intervention private practice. Deanne served early childhood clients at the CSULB Speech and Language Clinic and supervises SLPA interns each semester. She is fluent in Spanish and conversational in French. Deanne is passionate about caregiver coaching, providing culturally and linguistically responsive and neurodiversity-affirming services, and engaging in reflective supervision with students and interns in clinical academic settings.No visible instructors were found.
